Grupul spune ca primul val de consumatori de dispozitive electronice se bazeaza pe Wireless USB 1.0 Certification Program, fapt ce a ajutat produsele WUSB sa intre sau sa se intreaca cu tehnologiile ultra wideband si cu interfatele wireless high-definition. Aceste produse care sunt certificate vor fi compatibile cu viitoarele gear-uri USB, judecand dupa USB-IF, industria organizatoare va fi responsabila de supravegherea standardelor USB. Deja vanzatori ca Alereon, Intel, NEC, Realtek, si WiQuest au inceput productia din silicon a USB-ului wireless certificat. USB-ul wireless este de fapt o versiune Intel a tehnologiei ultrawideband care traduce semnalele unui conexiuni standard USB si le trimite prin radio wireless. Desi, ca o aplicatie specifica a ultrawideband, WUSB este mai condus in mare de Intel si de partenerii sai, care spera sa-l foloseasca ca un inlocuitor pentru conexiunile USB-urile cu fir in viitor.
