SigEx Ventures : The new Logitech Wave Keyboard
by Ana Maria Ciobanu

I am a Logitech fan. I love their wireless keyboards, I like the design and I wouldn't change my keyboard for nothing in the world. I just love it's keys and typing really becomes a pleasure. I'm not trying to do publicity here...but the good words for Logitech seem to be flying because I'm typing at the moment. They recently announced a new groundbreaking keyboard design. I am not very open to changes when it comes to my keyboard so I went to visit their website in a skeptical mood. A headline caught my attention when I was looking at the design features: "Cradle your hands". It seems they've tested a number of different key height variations to get the perfect fit and the keyboard is curved and higher in the middle. Since I haven't tried it out I don't really know if your hands are really cradled by it. I'm used to my smooth, straight, slim keyboard and this one looks really huge in the pictures. They say the wave design allows you to comfortably use your keyboard without having to change the way you type. As I've said before, I haven't tried one...but I don't know how comfortable I'd be with a bump in my keyboard. I think the "Contoured wave-shaped key design" which "conforms naturally to your fingers" is super nice to touch though. The other features aren't so special or innovative...programmable F-keys, instant media access, adjustable keyboard height, a cushioned contour palm rest etc. I don't think I'll change my keyboard soon but I can't wait to try one though. Who knows what great comfort it brings at only $49.99?

Cantell TV : HD DVR friendly with your pockets
by Ana Maria Ciobanu

Remember the digital video recorder manufacturer TiVo? It launched its "best-in-class" high-definition DVR set-top box in the third quarter of 2006. This week you're in for a new surprise from TiVo: they introduced a more mainstream offering to appeal to the more middle class consumer. the new TiVo HD DVR will be a considerably more affordable option at $299.99 than it's brother, the existing TiVo Series3 HD Digital Media Recorder with an $800 price. Forrester Research analyst James McQuivey commented in a Washington Post report that TiVo’s latest set-top device won't sell millions in the beginning but that given the desire for HD everything, it would have been a mistake for TiVo not to introduce a more affordable product. The friendly with pockets HD DVR is equipped with dual tuning, which means you can watch a prerecorded show while simultaneously recording two separate HD broadcasts. It also has dual slots for CableCard. The new model will differ from it's expensive brother by missing the stylish edges, curves, and detailing throughout its exterior design. However despite an aesthetic difference, I'm very excited to get my hands on one.
